Since the beginning of the pandemic Mobi Banka created 131 new jobs, 71% of all employees are women


Belgrade, July 1st, 2021 - Employee growth of 63% and 100 thousand new customers


Since the start of the pandemic, which has posed unprecedented challenges for many companies, Mobi Banka has employed 131 people, keeping pace with more than 100,000 new customers. This growth of employees represents a jump of 63 percent compared to the previous year, with the majority of new hires being women, who now make 71 percent of the total number of employees.

“We continue to grow despite the many challenges and rising costs of software systems, the development of new services, and ongoing maintenance. However, I believe that Mobi Banka justifies its slogan 'no stopping' because we are soon approaching the number of 600 thousand customers", said Marija Popović, President of Mobi Banka's Executive Board.

Most of Mobi Banka's new employees are in sectors vital to the customer experience, such as customer support and product development, but a significant part of the team's reinforcement comes in the form of Mobi Banka advisors.

"Encouraged by the favorable business environment, the stimulating regulatory framework of the National Bank of Serbia and its package of measures, in addition to additional digitalization, we also decided to create new jobs. We believe that it is important to start a positive economic spiral. In this way, we help our customers, but also our country,", said the President of the Bank.

Mobi Banka's banking advisors are financial experts who are in direct contact with customers throughout Serbia daily, with the aim of making the bank's products and services accessible and tailored to everyone. Mobi Banka currently has 32 banking advisors in 23 cities and plans to increase that number to 50 by the end of 2021.

"Our advisors provide assistance, but they are also a kind of digital educators who bring all the benefits of digitalization closer to their fellow citizens. Thanks to the Government of Serbia, we are convinced that very soon we will be able to raise our work on digitalization to an even higher level. Mobi Banka is ready to issue parameters for two-factor authentication (eID) and in that way help as many people as possible to become users of e-Government", explained Aleksandar Bogdanović, Sales Director of Mobi Banka.

One of the pillars of Mobi Banka since its founding is the concept of "humane banking", which includes environmentally and socially conscientious practices, but also a broader concept of banking that makes people's lives easier, not harder.
