Mobi Banka introduces instant payments with IPS QR code

Mobi Banka has made a new feature available to its customers – instant payments via mobile app by using the IPS QR code. This service allows customers to make cashless payments quickly and easily at any time without paying a commission fee, using their mobile phones at points of sale that support this type of payment.

Two payment options are available to customers at points of sale. The IPS show option in the mobile app generates a one-time IPS QR payment code, that is scanned by the sales person using a reader connected to a cash register. With IPS scan option, you can use your phone’s camera to scan the merchant’s IPS QR code, which is displayed on the appropriate device. The payment is made using the option available at the merchant’s point of sale.

After the scan is made, customers should enter the PIN code for payment verification to complete the payment, and the money will be transferred to the merchant’s account in just a few seconds and become immediately available. This service is available to all customers of the Bank via the mobile app’s home page, where customers need to re-log in to refresh the app and see IPS show/mCash and IPS scan icons.

Payments by IPS QR code are possible at points of sale that support this type of payment. For the time being, instant payments by IPS QR code are available at all Mercator-S retail outlets, which means at Mercator, Idea and Roda megamarkets.
